The biggest public history related news story this week is of course the discovery of Richard III’s skeleton.
This link from BBC is an informative collection of articles covering everything between the details surrounding the remains, to its further implications in the field of archaeology and history in general.
The above video is called Joy of Books and was filmed at Type Books in Toronto, Ontario. Directed and edited by Sean Ohlenkamp is was made with the help of a team of over 25 volunteers.
Just watch. And enjoy.
In keeping with the post we made last week on words coined by Lewis Carroll, here’s a list of 20 words we owe to William Shakespeare. Our favorite? Bedazzled.
Last, but certainly not least is this newly complied list which features the 100 museums you must visit before you die with links to all of their websites. I think we can all agree that all of our bucket lists all just got considerably longer.
Until next week!
